Driven Fuhr-profile rolling machines with four rolls in a plane, displaced at
90°, individually adjustable; one pair of rolls with drive.
Eight different models with diameters of rolls from 110 to 400 mm. Feasible
rolling forces between 20 and 650 kN depending on machine size.
The profile wire to be produced is enclosed all over by ground rolls. The
design of the profile grinding is open or closed, depending on the area
reduction and tolerances required. Roller materials are adapted to wire
materials: tool steels, powder metals or tungsten carbides. Minimizing of the
setting periods is achieved by simple roll changing. If required the use of pure
rolling oils or oil-emulsions for lubricating and cooling the wire and the rolls is
possible.
Optional measurement of power on each roll is an overload protection and
control of wear. Adjustment of rolls is effected manually or motorically.
Possibility of combination with different succeeding systems is given.
