Area reduction of wires from ferrous and nonferrous metals to achieve
homogenized material structures for following treatments in drawing machines.
Three driven rolls per cassette, each displaced at 120°. Single drive of each
cassette for minimum slippage between rolls and material. Easy and quick
exchange of the preset rolling cassettes.
Uniform transformation of the total cross section results in optimum material
structure allowing high area reduction without intermediate annealing.
Hexagonal or round shape of the finished wire.
Wear of rolls is minimized by plain roll surfaces allowing the use of oil-
emulsions instead of pure rolling oil. The finished wire is nearly free of oil.
